Patty Smith Hill
Patty Smith Hill worried that schools were becoming too teacher-oriented, when they should be student-oriented. Schools were still following the Froebel's beliefs, and while Hill agreed with them, she also believed in innovation in education. She is the main reason for the Kindergartens that we see today. in 1893, Hill was honored for her work at the Louisville Experimental Kindergarten.
